February 7, 2018: Space Wars V1.0, Helix Server Begins New Movement Point Ratio Changes (X power requirement: Movement value). This is to reduce the movement/speed inflation that has occurred in the past year in beta testing/changes. Class I 1:6 remains the same Class II originally 1:3 changed to 1:2 Class III originally 1:2 changed to 1:1 Class IV originally 1:1 changed to 2:1 Class V originally 2:1 changed to 3:1 Class VI originally 3:1 changed to 4:1 Class VII originally 4:1 changed to 6:1 Class VIII originally 6:1 changed to 8:1 Class IX originally 8:1 changed to 10:1 Class X originally 10:1 changed to 12:1 More balancing changes to all ships, specifically within variants so that every variant is on par with others. All variants are now locked and acquired via credits. Players who participated in the previous server and won legacy medals are awarded bonus/free credits. You no longer need to go to the edge of the map to warp out, you now can warp out anywhere on the map. Spawning in map (warping in) is no longer on the edge of the map, but anywhere in the sector itself (excluding areas of radiation, nebula, and ion storms). Dark Matter Astrophysics Skill Level II now gives a bonus of 20 initiative to allow players' ships to warp out before anyone can fire on them. Officer skill point requirements have been increased to max out at 150 instead of 50. This was to reduce the effect of ships getting overpowered too quickly through the officer skillsets. Level 1 Requirement: 1 point Level 2 Requirement: 10 points Level 3 Requirement: 40 points Level 4 Requirement: 80 points Level 5 Requirement: 120 points Tactical Officer: Level 1 Requirement: 5 points Level 2 Requirement: 10 points Level 3 Requirement: 30 points Level 4 Requirement: 50 points Level 5 Requirement: 70 points Level 6 Requirement: 80 points Level 7 Requirement: 90 points Level 8 Requirement: 100 points Level 9 Requirement: 110 points Level 10 Requirement: 120 points Sectors with Faction Limits of 4 or lower are now limited to Class III ships and lower, to help new players avoid stronger enemy classes. Capture point values on most ships have been increased, so capturing a region is slightly faster. AI ships now will attempt to fire all their weapons from all sides.
