   I seem to be stuck after selecting Avatar. No button to say next or continue.

   Can you restart the game and try again? If not, I'd say remove game and reinstall. But you might have accidentally entered the custom avatar section, there's not button for 'back'. So in that case closing program and restarting fixes it.
