T3 firing at T5: Average of 9,5 HP/XP/INF per 1 damage
T2 firing at T5: ??*
T1 firing at T5: ??*

*Unable to test due to literal 5-men party constantly hunting allied researcher


If someone could test T2 vs T5, T1 vs T5 and other possible combinations, please do.

Step 1: Pick ship of tier ?
Step 2: Pick target tier.
Step 3: Do not use any non-weapon abilities that would grant extra experience
Step 4: Attack only target tier ships.
Step 5: Divide XP gained by amount of damage dealt.
Step 6: Post results here so we have bigger sample size for each tier.

 

As a T3 firing on a T4, I get about 10 XP per damage point. T5 would be higher. Also, the XP is not from the tier as much as it is from the XP value of the ship. So a tier5 repair tender (500xp ship) will give about 16x less XP than hitting a T5 interdictor (8000xp ship).
