Poll: What faction(s) are you guys most interested in checking out?

Hive. Defintely hive.

 

Malaketh ships look awesome but for beta (if i get in) I'll go with Sol just because of the familiarity of the ship names (Liverpool, Exeter etc)

 

Genari, just because cool.

 

Genari and Hive to me

 

Hive cause I love Tyranids/Zerg.

My other favorites from 40K is Necrons and Chaos. Would love to see a techno/mechanical race much like Necrons or Borg. I do prefer the Undead feel of Necrons over the Cyborg feel of Borg, but love the mechanical sentient races...

 

no ice race.....i'm disapointed

mak l'eth sounds closest to my preferered play style, it's hard to really know what any of them will be like but usually high tech means either high cost, or slow to produce similar to protoss or ST or what ST was when I used to play heh

the way I see it the races translated into Pox terms would be.

Sol = KF( prissy pants )

Genari = IS/UD( warriors )

MA = ST( glass cannons )

Hive = SP/FW( swarm )

 

Ma'Alaketh Confederation only for the look of the ships. Not related to any (un)expected gameplay.

 

I picked Genari and right now its the lowest on the list. I don't know why, because they seem to have the coolest ships and the most interesting to play.

 

Yeah, sucks that Genari is voted lowest so far.

 

genari sounds interesting, that double exp thing for taking control of ships with their pods may or may not be a broken mechanic for easy leveling if you can do it well enough.

whether it is or isn't the alternate goal for winning might make them one of the more interesting races to play as.

 

Genari for me too. I was drawn to the ships and signed up here.

 

I like them all, in one way or another.

Sol is the comfortable 'go-to' race.
Genari excite my inner Klingon.
Ma'Alaketh as I am a complete Technophile
and Hive as they are so different from anything I have practical experience of, they intrigue me.

However, as I write, all races are equal with 18 votes a piece. What I don't understand is how, with 4 races and 4 choices, that adds up to 35.3% of the vote. Must be some software glitch caused by allowing people to vote for more than 1 choice.

 

Last time I checked Ma'Alaketh was winning. But you can vote more than one race. I picked Sol and Ma'Alaketh.

I picked Sol and Malaketh. The votes are pretty dead even I see.

Ma'Alaketh and hive are really interesting looking, but are not either of the factions available at the start. Until they are ready, I am torn between Sol [as they have the ship I want to start with] and Genari [as they are more like my personal philosophy].

 

Either way, I'll be trying out both races I'm sure.

 

I chose both Sol and Genari because they are the ones that I'd be able to play on launch.
